The Indian Institutes of Technology (popularly known as IITs) are institutions of national importance established through an Act of Parliament for fostering excellence in education. There are Twenty Three IITs at present, located in Varanasi, Bhilai, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, New Delhi, Dhanbad, Dharwad, Gandhinagar, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, Mandi, Palakkad, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar and Tirupati.
Over the years, IITs have created a world class educational platform that is dynamically sustained through quality teaching and internationally acclaimed research with excellent infrastructure and the best available minds. The faculty and alumni of IITs occupy key positions in academia and industry, both in India and abroad, and continue to make a considerable impact in all sections of the Society.
Each institute has well-equipped modern laboratories, state-of-the-art computer network and well stocked technical library. Teaching methods rely on direct personal contact between the teachers and the students and the use of traditional and modern instructional techniques. Students live in a pleasant and intellectually stimulating environment with people having similar goals and aspirations, which is an exciting and unique experience.
Through JEE (Advanced), IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Architecture. Both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded to candidates enrolled in the dual degree programs upon successful completion of the course curriculum. In a few of the IITs, students enrolled into the 4-year Bachelor’s program have the option to convert to B.Tech (Honors) and/or B.Tech. with Minors. However, not all programs and courses are available in all the institutes. The relevant programs and courses offered in 2021 are given in LIST of COURSES OFFERED IN 2021. The courses that will be offered in 2021 will be announced at the time of seat allocation (i.e., filling-in of choices for admission).
The programs are credit-based and thus offer the flexibility to progress at one’s own pace. A minimum level of performance is essential for satisfactory progress. The medium of instruction is English.

JEE Main 2021 Exam Date and Schedule
The Joint Entrance Examination jee main 2021 will be conducted by the IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2021. The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. The decisions of the JAB 2021 will be final in all matters related to jee main 2021 and admission to IITs.

The authorities will soon release the application form of JEE Main 2021 for April session on the official JEE Main website. The JEE Main application form 2021 for the April session will be available on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will also be allowed to make changes in the information submitted earlier through JEE Main correction window.

Step 1- IIT JEE Mains 2021 Registration:
Candidates will also be required to create a password of their choice at the time of filling JEE Main registration form 2021. This password will be used for all future login for making corrections, downloading the admit card, result etc. After entering all the required information and creating the password, candidates have to click on the submit button to complete the NTA JEE registration. Students will receive messages on their mobile phone number and email address mentioning their registration number and password.
All the candidates must fulfil each and every one of the following five criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2021:
Criterion 1 – Performance in JEE (Main) 2021: Candidates should be among the top 2,24,000* (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2021.
The percentages of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are: 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and the remaining 50.5% is OPEN for all. Within each of these four categories, 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.
Criterion 2 – Age limit: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1993. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1988.
Step 2- Filling of NTA JEE Main April Application Form 2021:
After the completion of JEE 2021 registration, students can continue with filling the detailed JEE Mains application form. For login, candidates have to use the registration number and password they have received on their email address/mobile number.
At this stage of JEE Main 2021 April application form, candidates will be required to provide information related to country of residence, state of residence, category, the medium of education in class 11 and 12, information on the diabetic condition and language choice for JEE Main question paper. Students also have to enter details about the paper for which they are appearing, Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both and choice of four JEE Main exam centres. At last, students will have to enter details about the marks in class 10 and 12. Students who will be appearing in their class 12 exam in 2021 have to enter only class 10 details. After providing all the details,click on the submit button to complete the JEE Main Aprilapplication form 2021.
Step 3- Uploading Scanned Images in JEE Main Form 2021
Candidates have to upload the scanned image of their passport size colored photograph and signature in JEE Main April application form 2021. Students. The size and file format of images should be strictly in adherence to the instructions mentioned by NTA.
Step 4- IIT JEE 2021 Fee Payment
This is the last step in filling JEE Main 2021 application form. After completing the registration, filling out the form, and uploading images, applicants will be redirected to the payment page. Payable NTA JEE Main application fee will be displayed as per the gender and category of candidates. Application fee has to be paid online through credit/debit card or net banking. Students will be required to enter details of payment mode to complete the payment. Candidates will receive a message of successful payment of JEE Main 2021 application fees on their mobile number. After the payment of fees, JEE Main April application form 2021 stands completed.
